Yummi Pouches: Another Way to Green Your Life

Earth Day is here and it makes me think of what we can do to green up our lives a little more. Thanks to Yummi Pouch, I got the chance to try out reusable food pouches. My 3 year old loves pouches as an on the go snack and I love them because they are easy and I know she is still having something healthy.

Enter reusable food pouches! I like that I can make my own mixes or use my own purees and I know exactly what my daughters are eating in a convenient way. There are a variety of sizes available for your families’ needs from Mini to Sport sized – which is great for a smoothie on the go.

The zipper closure has held securely and it has cleaned beautifully, just rinsing and in the dishwasher. Once you get the hang of it, they are pretty easy to fill. You can put them in the freezer and they thaw out in time to eat. Plus, they are BPA & Phthalate free so they are safe to use in addition to being easy to use.

The Yummi Pouch website has some great recipes and some fun other uses for the pouches, too, like using it to carry bubble solution and storing crayons.

Interested in picking some up for yourself? April is great time to buy. This month, US shipping is free and if you purchase any 2 sets you’ll get a free pouch cover with promo code SPRING. Plus, April 21-22, 2014 is the Earth Day Flash Sale so you can score 40-65% off pouches.

I see these being used more and more as my youngest starts eating more solid foods and for those summer days at the park. I’d love to know if you have any favorite puree or applesauce recipes.

*I received a free sample selection of products to review. All opinions are my own.
