Earth day is upon us and what is a cuter reminder then this little one that we all need to do what we can to love the Earth a little more? One of the benefits to cloth diapering is decreasing your contribution to landfills plus using less of all the oil and chemicals that go into producing disposable diapers. In the spirit of Earth Day, the Great Cloth Diaper Change started in 2011 to help bring awareness to cloth diapering. The Great Cloth Diaper Change is an attempt to have the Guinness Book of World Records most number of babies being changed into a cloth diaper at one time. So, at 11:00 AM on April 26, 2014 I will be changing my baby at the Dayton, Ohio location. You can see if there is a location near you by visiting The Great Cloth Diaper Change. I have been at the St. Petersburg, Florida location the past two years and had a great time. Royal Fluff has also been gracious enough to send us some products for our event.
I was recently sent a Royal Fluff One Size Pocket Diaper to review. Overall, it is a great diaper. A simple design with a few helpful features, it has something to offer everyone. First off, Royal Fluff has a selection of vibrant colors and cute boy, girl and neutral prints. The PUL fabric outside is soft and soft and the inside is made of soft fleece with no PUL on the inside. It came with a very fluffy microfiber insert that goes inside the cover and you are ready to go. I haven’t had issues with leaks and it has contained at least one messy diaper on my 13 lb, 6 month old. It has been easy to clean and has come out soft every time.
It has a wide flap in the front, accommodating a double row of waist snaps – I have personally really started liking this style. It feels like the front flaps are reinforced with extra layers of PUL so there should be no issues with the fabric overtime. There are three rows of sizing for the raise so, including completely unsnapped, there are four sizing options that I have no doubt will fit 9-32 lbs. Royal Fluff diapers are wider through the diaper than some of the other brands I have tried. This may provide a better fit for some babies; I have not had any problems getting a secure fit nor do I feel it bunches too much. It has fit nicely under regular clothing. Another benefit to this wider cut is there is a little more room for an extra insert so this would make a good nap or overnight option.
Like Royal Fluff says:
Baby’s bum deserves nothing short of the royal treatment. Eco-friendly, money saving and ridiculously darling, this reusable pocket diaper caters to that cute behind. Every petite prince and princess will love its fleecy soft interior and ultra-comfortable trim fit. But better yet, this diaper is 100% waterproof and breathable, too! It’s equipped with durable snaps that offer several sizing options. Simply slip the included insert into the pocket or rest it inside the diaper and when it becomes soiled, toss both the insert and diaper in the wash.
