We had a few peaches and nectarines getting really ripe. I came up with this dessert from a few inspiration recipes and it turned out pretty good. A little decadent and looked fancy but was easy with ingredients we already had around here.
Spiked Peaches and Cream Dessert:
- 1 peach or nectarine per person
- white zinfandel
- 1-2 tablespoons sugar per person
- vanilla ice cream
- caramel sauce
- Peel, pit, and cut up peaches and/or nectarines. Put into storage container, pour in enough wine to cover, add sugar. Mix, cover, and refrigerate overnight.
- When ready to serve, scoop out vanilla ice cream into bowls for each person, drizzle with caramel sauce, then divide cut up peaches and/or nectarines over the ice cream. Add a little more of the wine and sugar liquid.
