We’ve been on an oatmeal kick around here for a while. I can make it quickly and eat it with one hand (either hand, actually) while feeding my daughter so it’s quite handy. Anyways, we’ve been adding things in like strawberries and blueberries when we have them, but we have apples this week.
Easy Apple Brown Sugar Oatmeal
- Cook quick oats to package instructions.
- Add 1/2 a diced apple for each person.
- Add 1 tablespoon brown sugar.
- Add cinnamon and allspice to taste.
Plenty of fiber, some anti-inflamatory cinnamon, and a little taste of fall during summer!
Next oatmeal recipe to try: Freezer-Friendly Baked Oatmeal by MoneySavingMom.com
Made the Baked Oatmeal earlier this week. Yummy! A little bit of work but it was a nice little twist on the usual oatmeal. Since it’s just me and the hubby, I divided the “batter” so we could have it over two days. For the second day I stirred in some sweetened dries cranberries. Both versions were good and this is going in the “will try again” file!
